LYAO Editor Updates

This page will contain all LYAO Editor Updates, many detailing the "trials and tribulations" going on in my life. Some of these updates can be quite graphic, and you will be warned at those points. Otherwise, it's the story of my life for a few years.

If this page gets too big, I may separate updates to a year at a time. Until then, they will all be here.

The following emails are important to the history of LYAO, and can be considered "Editor Updates" in that I was changing jobs, and therefore, email clients for the first time since starting LYAO. The 04/29/1998 note pointed out the change of email address from my work address to home address to my contributors that used the former. The 05/26/1998 LYAO was the first I was able to send after changing jobs. It was from home, and was one of the first in HTML format. The 05/26/1998 message solicited email from those who were having problems reading LYAOs in HTML.

A MESSAGE FROM THE LYAO EDITOR:

MOST OF YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE TAKEN A POSITION WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. PLEASE DO NOT USE <OLD-EMAIL @ ADDRESS.COM> ANYMORE TO SEND CONTRIBUTIONS -- I WILL NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO THAT ADDRESS AS OF FRIDAY EVENING, 05/01/1998.

THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE CONTRIBUTORS WILL PROBABLY NEED TO CHANGE YOUR DESTINATION ADDRESS. PLEASE SEND ALL LYAO CONTRIBUTIONS TO

I REALLY DO WANT TO CONTINUE WITH LYAO, BUT CANNOT DO SO (AT LEAST IN THE AMOUNT THAT I HAVE BEEN) WITHOUT YOUR HELP. IF YOU RECEIVE JOKES OR INTERESTING LISTS OR STORIES IN E-MAIL, OR YOU FIND SOME INTERESTING SITES ON THE WEB, THEN SEND THEM TO ME. IF THEY MEET MY "RIGID STANDARDS", SUCH AS THOSE ARE, I WILL PUT THEM INTO THE NEXT LYAO. THEY WILL ALSO APPEAR, IN TIME, ON A WEB-SITE THAT I HAVE BEEN DESIGNING IN MY HEAD.

IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE ELSE WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED IN RECEIVING LYAO, PLEASE FORWARD A COPY TO THEM -- IF IT IS A "CLEAN" LYAO, BE SURE TO INFORM THEM THAT THERE ARE USUALLY "RACY", AND SOMETIMES "SICK", JOKES, BUT THAT THESE ARE USUALLY UNDER SOME KIND OF WARNING STATEMENT. IF THEY ARE STILL INTERESTED, TELL THEM TO SEND ME AN E-MAIL ASKING ME TO ADD THEM TO THE LIST. (I WILL WANT THEIR FULL NAME AND E-MAIL ADDRESS.)

OK FOLKS. MOST OF YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE CHANGED JOBS, AND HAVE LOST THE E-MAIL CLIENT I WAS USING TO SEND OUT LYAO. I'M TRYING THIS, AND I HOPE IT WORKS, AT LEAST UNTIL I GET SOMETHING BETTER.

I AM SENDING THIS LYAO IN HTML FORMAT. MOST OF YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO RECEIVE IN THIS FORMAT. FOR THOSE THAT CAN'T, IT SHOULD BE TRANSLATED INTO TEXT, AND WILL LOSE MOST OF THE FORMATTING, BUT SHOULD BE READABLE (EXCEPT FOR THE BULLETED AND NUMBERED LISTS).

I'M CURRENTLY SITTING ON THREE (3) LYAOS (NO WISE-CRACKS) READY TO GO, AND AT LEAST FOUR THAT STILL NEED TO BE EDITED. KEEP THOSE JOKES COMIN', FOLKS. SOONER OR LATER, I WILL HAVE THE RIGHT E-MAIL PROGRAM, AND WE CAN GET BACK TO "NORMAL".

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS READING THIS. I AM SENDING IT IN HTML FORMAT, AND, SO FAR, EVERYONE THAT HAS WRITTEN BACK HAS SAID THAT IT WORKS FINE. IF SOME OF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS, I WILL CONTINUE SEARCHING FOR ANOTHER WAY TO SEND IT. IF NOT, I WILL JUST KEEP GOING THE WAY I AM. THANKS FOR SENDING YOUR JOKES.
